ok what are the advantages of having larger sealed boxes vs smaller sealed boxes? im guessing larger gives you more thump and smaller gives u better quality

It actually depends on the sub. The manufacturer gives the recommended volumes for their sub. So putting a sub that is rated for a small sealed box in a large one wont necessarily be better in fact it may be worse.
Smaller boxes can actually net more SPL than larger boxes GIVEN that you have enough power to push the sub to full excursion. Larger boxes give less power handling (sub reaches full excursion with less power) and also increase bandwidth(drop lower) but with a loss in "tightness" and accuracy in the midbass transition region.
