I need to connect the desktop PC to the TV for my (4) kids' homeschool and also I might work there at times, as well.

PC:
Dell Dimension 340
Nvidia Quadro4 700 XGL with DVI, VGA out (and there is a "VESA 3" connector?)

TV:
Panasonic HDTV 53wx42f
Component, S Vid and RCA in (NO DVI or HDMI in)

Honestly, I haven't a clue where to start. Is all it takes is a DVI to Component cable, and it will work? (and then going in to Nvidia program and set the display etc)

I also dont know what questions to ask or what is involved in this. I imagine it is relatively simple for the people on here. I hope to learn how to do this.

Thank you in advance for any help you can provide

you are right. that the way to go. Just get a DVI to rca component cable and connect it.
If that doesn't work then you will need a converter. dvi to rca. or vga to rca... good luck
