Jess Unregistered guest | Greetings, I'm a brand new owner of an Onkyo 760 and am definitely happy. My only concern now is that maybe I should have waited another 2 weeks for the 770 to come out. It looks like the 770 just has more power; Can the 770 be THAT much better? Just looking for someone to cure a mild case of buyers remorse. |

New member Username: DaddyrabbitPost Number: 8 Registered: May-04 | The 700 has more power, a few more inputs, and Dolby Prologic IIx vs Dolby Prologic II. The speakers are also a little different I think. (Keep in mind that I just got the 770 so I'm a little biased) That said, if you are perfectly happy with the 760 and it does what you need then put the remorse away and enjoy... either way they are both GREAT systems, the 2 week wait and $50 price difference may have been spent for something you wouldn't have used anyway (use the extra $50 to pick up a good couple of DVDs to enjoy with the 760). |
