I was hoping someone could guide me on setting up a Home Theatre System.
I am having a hard time finding the best audio system to attach to my denon 3806. I am willing to spend between 1000 and 2000 for a very nice high end system. And if possible, for it to come as 1 system box, not have to pick and choose my pieces.
The aperion speaker systems look very nice, just wondering what others think.

Any opinions would be great!

Thanks,
Art

Yes, the Aperion indeed look nice, but I have heard them with that particular Denon and they come off a bit on the bright and shrill side. A little too sterile for my taste, but then again, that is an individual preference Your mileage may vary:-)

Paradigm speakers on the other hand really do well with Denon.

What Paradigm speakers do you recommend to stay in the 1000-2000 price limit range.

lets see...

Best high end home theatre system...

Wilson Audio WAMM x5 for the main, surround, and center speakers (500,000)
Meridian 800 DVD Player (12,500)
5 Krell Master Reference Monoblocks (120,000 each)
Meridian 816 A/V Pre-Amp (13,000)

there is no need for a subwoofer, as the WAMM speakers each have their own seperate subwoofer tower per speaker.

As you can see, this system would total up to be over a million dollars, and this is without me including a CD player.

Use "I want the best high end home theater system" at your own risk.

:-)

Paradigm speakers are great for their price.

One question however, is that for all of them, or a pair...

I was tempted Gavin...you know how this forum gets when somebody says price no object or some such nonsense:-) But he did state a budget so I let it go...LOL!

Adam,
Do your research on the Paradigm's model and prices. Have a little fun. They will all fill the need and the choices are yours to make, because you will like things differently than others.
