I recently bought the onkyo HTS780 package and when I run a fiber optic audio line from my SAT/DVR reciever to my A/V reciever the sound is extremely muffled with mainly only bass noise coming out. If I use the RCA cable it works fine but i'd like to use the digital line. I've tried adjusting the audio setting of the SAT/DVR reciever but that hasn't helped. Any suggestions?
Make sure you have the right speakers turned on...I had the same problem, what happens is Some AV Receivers have speaker A/B or just A or Just B or Both A and B you might have it on B or OFF then only Bass will come out of your sub...happened to me.
