I just got a new Samsung 50 in. DLP (HL-P5085W) and got the Sony home-theater in a box (DAV-BC150) with a 5 disc dvd changer. Unfortunately, every time my son turns on the captions, the screen will go black at random times during the film. Any ideas what could be happening? it is connected to the TV through a component cable... thanks
Manan, I'm not a technician, but I suggest you return the television and purchase from a more reputable manufacturer. Samsung seems to be experiencing quality/reliability problems all over the board.

Yeah, that's helpful.
I have a different Samsung (HLR5067W)and Sony (DAV FX100W)...they work swimmingly well together. However, I've never used the captions, so I'm no more helpful.
What if you used subtitles (from the DVD) instead of captions(on the TV)?
