Well you have 400w RMS speakers, why would you run any higher power to them then that? Peak power ratings are a dangerous number in that it gives the consumer a false sense of capability. Peak power ratings are for the short bursts in music and should never be considered the constant power delivered to them. Send clean 400w to them as their rating states.
What size amp did you power them with that blew them?
