My computer won't play DVD's anymore. When I put a DVD in the drive I get this message, "Windows Media Player cannot play the DVD because a compatible DVD decoder is not installed on your computer."

Is there anything I can download to fix this problem?

I downloaded the cccp and now I get this message, "Windows Media Player cannot play this DVD because there is a problem with digital copy protection between your DVD drive, decoder, and video card. Try installing an updated driver for your video card."

is it a normal dvd? not a copy?
Also did you try a codec update from MS WMP? I would try that first.. if not try a new player like divx player.

Yeah it's a regular DVD. I got it to play on the VLC player, just won't play on the WMP. Haven't tried the codec update yet.
