yes,the 301's have j-tag access they are exactly the same as the BEV 3100. I know because i'm using a 301 for BEV :-D. now its just a matter of looking on the botom and seeing if it has the cutout for the j-tag if it does the a universal j-tag will work. If not (like mine) you'll need to do some soldering and/or cutting.
What i did was cut and mounted a j-tag right in the back panel of the IRD and hard wired it internaly to the receiver. This way i always get a postive conection and no more holding the j-tag. Just plug the DB-25 cable into the back and away i go.
