Hello all! I have a 60" Mitsubishi DLP and the lamp went out so I pushed it off to the side and bought a Samsung plasma. Recently I figured that I would replace the bad lamp, after doing so all the set will do now is turn on for 30-60 seconds and then the screen will flicker momentarily then it shuts down and displays the red indicator light just like before the bulb was replaced. Now what I am wondering is, did i get a defective bulb? This happened immediately after I installed the new bulb. Or do I possibly have another issue like maybe a faulty ballast or color wheel? Any help would be awesome.
I did send the new bulb back for a replacement but it will be a week or so before i get the new one. just trying to cover all the bases.
