I have a Sharp LCD TV LC-60E88UN. Whether I am viewing a DVR show or a DVD movie there is a quick flicker about every 5 minutes. It looks like it might be a 1/10 second shot of a scene from earlier in the recording. Just lately sometimes half the screen freezes completely while the other half shows the ongoing recording.
I tried hooking the hdmi cable directly into the TV to be sure it wasn't my receiver that had the problem. That didn't help.
I tried disconnecting the hdmi cable but the problem was still there when I reconnected it.
It happens with different hdmi cables.
The only thing that got rid of the frozen screen was to turn the TV off and then turn it back on. So I'm assuming this is a TV issue?
What part do I need to replace? There is no service center anywhere near me.
