ray sanderberg the same way k1plus work,
u don't need a ethernet port,
its like a small box that has built in ethernet port and one port for loader cable, so loader cable goes to back of ur rec, the same loader cable u use to download files, so basically network cable goes to ur khub and from there it is connecting to rec,
this technology was released last year...

Read this thread on IKS and how it will work on all receiver:

https://www.ecoustics.com/electronics/forum/home-video/471885.html
Please note the high level discussion between me and LK but you will understand how IKS can be made with other receivers.

P.S. sorry for my english.

"iHub Overview

The Sonicview iHub is the most advanced serial-to-ethernet converter. The Sonicview iHub supports media delivery over ethernet via the serial port of your Sonicview 360 Premier, Sonicview 360 Elite, and Sonicview 8000HD. "

In simple words, any media coming over ethernet will be converted for delivery over serial posrt - i.e. the type of port most current FTA receivers have.

If your receiver is capable to communicate with a server by this port, only a simple program is need for convert it to IKS.

Here is the content of an email I received last night:

Official Sneak Peek
The Sonicview iHub is the most advanced serial-to-ethernet converter. The Sonicview iHub supports media delivery over ethernet via the serial port of your Sonicview 360 Premier, Sonicview 360 Elite, and Sonicview 8000HD.

Media Playback
o Video: IPTV (only available on SV 8000HD)
o Music: Playback of MP3 files over the network
o Pictures: View Pictures over the network

Network
o Communication: Supports encrypted communication over ethernet
o Firmware Automatically install new found firmware.
o Background Image: Change the feel of your receiver by downloading new backgrounds

The important line to read in the ad is the one on encrypted communication. This will become a must to play safe using IKS. SV sure know how to tackle issues with Internet sniffing.
