Bronze Member Username: Mike_mPost Number: 51 Registered: Mar-06 | i had recently bought a new computer with no serial port so i went and bought a usb serial cable for my pansat3500 sd i connected the usb end in my computer then i connected the serial to my 3500.when i try to download the bin. i get a message saying cant open serial port. then it says last error the system cannot find the file specified.please any help would be a blessing |

Maybe your new computer has a sd card slot and you can use that feature on the 3500. or something like this SD Card Reader Via USB- SD to USB Card Reader www.spyville.com/sd-card-reader.html Using sd card would eliminate disconnecting receiver and taking it to comp. |

Do not allow windows XP to install it. Manually install using CD Select COM1, or COM2, or COM3 or COM 4 port. Use device manager in your computer to check and select the right port. |
