Wednesday, January 14, 2009 - 21:49 GMT Sorry to start a new thread this is driving me crazy. Background: Northeast Ohio USA I am trying to receive Echo 7. I am using a receiver that is setup with the same dish and collects over 800 channels from 110 and 119. The only difference in the hardware is the 2 new LNBs and dish location. This Dish is about 200 meters away from the other location. I have no problem with Echo 10. I have switched the 2 LNBs so I know they both will pick up 110 (but niether will Pick up 119) I have tried 3 different 4 in 1 DISEqC switches and all of the ports. I have turned off the power to the 110 LNB and Lose all those channels (of course) If I turn to a channel for example: 138 TNT 12326 20000 H 5/6 signal = 88 Quality = 98 No Video or Audio Viewsat Plat Lite 090111 Bin 4 in 1 super mini DISEqC SW (viewsat) 2 LAVA D-200N DSS Dual LNBF IF 12.20-12.70GHz Lo 11.25GHz NF 0.5dB Gain 55dB Dish 500 Dish Settings Echo 7 119 LNB Power ON LNB Type Universal LNB High 11250 LNB LO 9750 TP FREQ 12224 DiSEqC 1.0 Motor OFF Legacy SW None Sig 81 QUality 86 I know it is going to be somethiong simple... Can anyone tell me why I am not seeing 119 channels?

Thursday, January 15, 2009 - 00:35 GMT Make sure you are not using TP1 when trying to get 119. It does not broadcast on the first transponder. Try TP4.

Thursday, January 15, 2009 - 18:59 GMT Joel Try a factory default, load the factory bin and satellite info from viewsatusa.com then load latest bin from ftahq.com. Do a blindscan the a autoscan on both satellite. Reply with the result.

Thursday, January 15, 2009 - 22:14 GMT OK Plymouth or Nalin you are both very helpful and I appreciate it. Factory default factory bin sat info bin 090111 Same result. I do see this in antenna setup. Echostar 10 is locked in in upper right corner but echostar 7 is not. Does this info come from the sat? does this mean the dish is misaligned? I would think that if I have such a strong signal on 110 i would be very close to 119.

Friday, January 16, 2009 - 00:19 GMT I have brought another VS PLAT from another location that is using the same LNBs and DIsh. It is not locking in 119 here either. This tells me the problem has to be out at the dish. tomorrow I will bring the LNBs from that dish and see what happens. I can't believe that my LNBs can only pick up 110. But I guess anything is possible.

Friday, January 16, 2009 - 22:06 GMT I have 2 LNBs on a yoke. Each LNB has 2 ports. I can get echostar 8,10 110 on all of the four ports. But I cannot get echostar 7 119 on any of the four ports. It has me baffled.

Friday, January 16, 2009 - 22:50 GMT Joel, For me on my 119, TP freq is 12239 and not 12224. If you change that then you will see lock of 119 otherwise not. Save it and do blind scan. It would work

Friday, January 16, 2009 - 23:10 GMT this is straight to LNB no switch. great signal and quality. No picture No channels. You are right it is not showing the satellite in the upper right hand corner. even though the S & Q is strong. There is a Cellular Tower about 100 meters to the south. Not in the line of sight, But can that be giving me false 119 Signals? Even though Echostar 10 110 comes in perfect?
