The cable out of Pansat 3500SD unit is a 9-pin female(DB9F). But all the laptops that I have do not have a 9-pin female. Instead they all have the newer 15pin female(HD15F).
How can I upload the BIN files to Pansat?I have tried getting a 15pin to 9pin adapters from Microcenter but the loader does not recognize the port with this connection. I am sure there is a way out. I have been lucky so far as I had a laptop that had the 9pin female. But I had to exchange it for new laptop landing me in this problem.

Thanks in advance for your inputs!

You need a USB to serial cable.

USB to serial convertors are notorious for problems and for slowness.
Buy only the type with its own installation CD.
Do not allow windows XP to install it.
Manually install using CD

Select COM1, or COM2, or COM3 or COM 4 port.
Use device manager in your computer to check and select the right port.

That sounds great. I will try. Could you explain the process in brief. Once I have the bin file on the SD card, how will the s/w load in Pansat?
