Guys & Gals,
If you have $300-$375 budget and the opportunity to buy the best box for HD channels (quality & support cannot be compromised), which one would you buy? And why?
Thank you.

HD FTA receivers will be first to get hit

For a $175 get SV 360 Elite dual tuner PVR
$80 more get a 500 G USB hard drive
Program/Record as much as yo want while PTA is still available
When PTA finally turns cold
Yo'll have at least 300 movies/shows on yor hard drive

That's King's advice

hardware, to answer your question...Without a doubt the Sonicview 8000 is far superior to all other HD FTA receivers in all aspects...quality, features and support..any HD owner or SV 8000 owner will tell ya the same..

HARDWARE it's more than what your budget can afford. if u are in canada 375 will do it , but if u are in states you need an adapter around 100 dolars more.
we all love to have hd but it good to wait till the nagra 3 show up . if we get back tv after nagra 3. you will see HD boxes flaying from shelves.

One thing is certain...Supply and Demand never changes..FTA receivers have come down in price quite a bit , the past few months, cause people are worried about Nagra3...So when Nagra 3 is fully implemented , FTA receivers will be even less costly BUT Conversely, if Nagra 3 gets hacked, FTA receivers will double/triple in price...thats Supply and Demand..so if you can afford FTA now and Nagra 3 gets hacked as suspected, then you will be way ahead of the game and save yourself bundles of money!...so you decide..but if ya go with HD, get a Sonicview 8000..
