What the diffenence between a linear LNB and a Universal LNB, and to receive Echo 9 @ 121W, can the Universal LNB be used instead on the Linear

Linear low power FSS require 30" dish or bigger.
Vertical and Horizontal frequencies (V and H)
Typical Sats like: 93, 97, 101, 118.75, 121

Circular DSS high power DSS require 20" dish or bigger.
Right and Left circular frequencies. (L and R)
Typical Sats like: 61.5, 82, 91, 110, 119, 129, 148

The answer is NO.
A) The Standard Linear LNB was designed for North America.Local Oscillator 10.750 GHz use.

B)The Universal LNB was designed for lower
Ku band. Local Oscillator 9.750/10.600 GHz
Both are Linear Polarization.

C) 10.750 GHz for Standard Ku band Reception.
(Dish Network) AMC 15, EchoStar 9 & EchoStar 5
Linear Polarization.
11.250 GHz are for Pay TV Reception. Circular Polarization.

Direct and to the point...good reply Kavin..was watching to see where king was going with his answer..sure don't understand his different "polarity" reply...cause a universal is a linear LNB
