I know Invacom makes an LNB for Linear and Circular. And I've read a few people having success getting C band with a 31-36" dish, but my question is this. Is there an LNB that will receive C and KU Band simultaneously on the same motorized setup for true FTA?

For c/ku get a dish of 8.5' or larger, a c/ku feedhorn is always best, the qph 031 will only get ku-band.

If you have a big dish a 4dtv is also a good addition for some free DCII and analog channels plus you can sub if you would like.

If you would like to get linear c/ku and circular c-band then get the corotor II plus wideband feed with lnb's.

Yes its possible to receive some C band channels but with dish 48"
You can use the same motorized setup for true FTA.
I have this Invacom QPH-031 who work very fine on linear and circular signals
Which C band sat you want?

Teddy do you have link for your C/ku LNB

I remember yo and I had a good discussion few months ago
There are few ways to get both C/ku with a small dish
But I say at least one meter dish yo can get 65% of many C-band
I'm gonna work on some foot print for C-band hobbyists in few days
Come back and check with me

P.s. avoid White Hawk, Yukon and king_Of_Sats
They are what I named them T.F.R.
I normally avoid their usless questions

Keep in mind the BSC-621-2 has c/ku though the ku-band is universal good for Intelsat-9 ku-band, this unit will not work with 4dtv, for that you would need to use the BSC-621.

If you do want to go with a low cost lnbf I would get the Geosat c/ku lnbf, as many people find it better than the BSC-621 models.

To be 100% honest I would not waste my time with a smaller dish looking for c-band, with a 1.2 you will get the odd very strong transponder with no adjacent birds, other than that you will be wasting your time.

If you do want to just play around for fun get the Geosat for the 1.2 as the real feed will be far to heavy and is recommended for a larger reflector.

If cost is the issue for a big dish look around your hood as many dishes are there for the taking, look for tight mesh with no damage, or a solid steel or aluminium dish, 10' is perfect.

I do have some freinds with 7.5' and 8' dishes yes they work but when you get into it, and try to get feeds with 7/8 fec you will have issues, also with the new dvb-S2 H.264 feeds going up, 10' or 12' is recommended.

Oh and if you get a big dish with the feedhorn you will need a 4dtv or a old anlog reciver to control the servo, most Pansat models do this though to move the dish again the 4d or analog receiver is needed, if you just want dvb feeds on a big dish with feed and lnb's get a Pansat and a v-box or g-box whatever there called... this will give you the ability to move the actuator with the dvb receiver.

Good luck!
