Experts, I'm trying to get 110, 119, 129 and 61.5 sats with 4 lines (receivers) output so that I can watch any channel from any sat from any one of the 4 rooms. To make things little complicated I need to combine signal from local HD antenna (Trek55) so that I can watch local HD channels.
What will be suggested configuration? Your expert opinion is appreciated. LK , King any one?

Any one, who can answer this? What DISH, Which DiseqC switch, multiswitch, diaplexer I need to use to make this work the way I want.

Currently, I have one 4*1 DiseqC, one 4*8 multiswitch (DTV compatible), one 1*3 local antenna line splitter, three diaplexer to join antenna signal with DN signal, 1 DTV slimline DISH with 4 lines, 1 DTV phase 3 dish with 1 line. Can I reuse any one of the component?

Any one LK, King, Nalin, SatScanner, RTAP???????????

Is putting up 4 dishes with motor's and universal LNB's doable for you? Just getting 4 out of the 17 sat's I can get here with a motor and LNB that receives both DBS and FTA is making you miss out on ALOT of good channels.....

Now in order to do what you doing it will take some work.

It is hard to get DN or DTV switches to work properly with a FTA receiver. You usually have to have a old DN or DTV receiver connected as well so the correct voltage will be sent to the switch. You could loop from the 1st receiver to the next and so on......but, the trouble will be only one receiver can control the diseqC switch so all receivers have to watching channels on the same sat. It MAY be able to be done the way you want but it will be a fight.

I can help ya find "deals" on the proper dish, motor, and LNB's if you want most sellers will give a deal when buying more than one so it wont be that bad...takes no time to set up its easer than all that switching you have already done...I just today set up a viewsay plat, dish, lnb, and motor it took 2 hours to run wires, install the dish to pole, and put new bin and channel list in the receiver, then point the dish...easy

Hope that helps ya

That is my question? Which Dish can give me at least two sats 110 and 119 with 4 wirers in all? Currently, I have a DTV slimline that give me 4 lines that goes to 4*8 multiswitch so that I can get both sats up to 8 rooms simultaneuosly. The problem is with slimline DTV dish I can only get 110 or 119 not both.

the way those dual lbs work ( at least the dish500 I know for sure) is they have a switch inside the lnb so i dont think you can use them with 4 different receivers...you will have to have different dishes or at least lnb's pointed for each bird you want to get..a mulitswitch can be used to make a lnb go to more than one receiver....their is a dish-lnb set up that can get mutilaple sat's using one dish very hard to point I have heard I always just use a dish and motor

DTV 3 LNB picks up only from 2 side LNBs
The middle LNB does not pick up more than one or 2 TPS
DTV TPs are designed different from DN TPs despite similarity in their same polarity
The problem is a switch block in circuit board

Sats 1 to 4 select 22KHz ON
Sats 5 to 6 select 22KHz OFF

If this doesn't work try:
Sats 1 to 4 select 22KHz OFF
Sats 5 to 6 select 22KHz ON

SW34
Allows you to receive signals from one satellite and Local TV antenna, combining them and connecting up to 4 receivers.
Works for all satellite system, e.g. DN, BEV system, DTV, and StarChoice, etc.
No power supply is required as the IRD's voltage is passed to the desired LNB.

Sometimes these multi receiver switches don't work with certain Satellites or combination of selective ones

I personally like to cascade my own
I don't like motor at all

Boy I would like to see a house with 8 dishes
It would be a sight to see.
I would think parts of North America wouldn't
allow that type of installation.

Jay keep in mind only few will try.
Even most of the the Pros will not install
a motorized system. I have called few installers
and I was told they didn't know how or had the time to mess with it.

Well I gave it a shot and now I can scan in little over 1,000 channels. I really had no
choice. It wouldn't be fair to my wife or my neighbors to install 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, or 8 dishes
on my roof.

8 Sats in many cases don't require 8 dishes

For example 110/119/121 or 118 can be one dish
82/91 another dish
61.5 and 77 one dish
129/127/123/121/101/97/93/45/30 can be all on one motor dish

With 4 dishes yo can own entire sky

I have installed or helped with the install of several sat systems. I have had 10 foot dish, had at one time 4 dish500's on poles...the 31" on a pole with a motor is the easiest to install of all of them....you point it south, set the tilt using settings easly found on the internet, and usually the sat's just come right in using USALS in the receiver menu....the last one we installed took about 2 hours from unboxing the dish to scanning the birds.....we got 12 sat's..

I understand
Multiple receivers situation
What would yo do if yo got multiple receivers and want to watch 2 different programs from different satellites at same time?
This is the original question to this thread?

Motor is not an option to standard service to Star Choice, BEV, DTV or DN
The right way is fixed dish and multiple LNB and Switches

Motors good enough for one receiver, one Satellite at a time

Yo pick what is best for your quest

Having motorized DISH option is good and I would explore it in more details later, but for now I'll go with two DISH each with dual LNB feeding to a 4*8 SWA48 switch with 4 line of output for 4 rooms (I need to test if this switch can work with DN). I'm planning for 1st dish to point to 110 and second dish to point to 61.5. I think they have enough channels to engage me.

Mr. King
Yes you can watch 2 different programs from 2
different satellites at the same time.(Echo 7 & Anik F3) (Hispasat 1C and 1D)
(Rainbow 1 and Echo 3)Untrue on a motorized system you can connect more that one receiver.
Only the main receiver will control the motor if
you know how.Needless to say the rest of the receivers will only receive the channals of the
bird that main receiver is set on. BetweenEcho 7 and Anik F3 there is over 500 channels
for a family member or guest to choice from. When lot of people check into a Hotel or Motel
how many channels do you think they have to choice from.

BTW if Charlie & Bev turn the lights out,
how much work will it take to move and add dishes for these FTA Satellites Mr. King?

The best set up would be a 31", the QDH-031 LNB, motor, and one ditic switch mounted on the dish pole for each receiver. Cost of each dish is "around" $150. The disc switch you will need should have came with your receivers so you should have those right?

Set up would be easer than trying to get 4 receivers to use the same dishes.

This set up would get you ALL the sat's FTA and DBS so you would ALWAYS have TV even when DN and BEV are off...

Quick Q...

If I have a dish pointing to 110 , can i replace the lmb with a dual lmb and get 119 as well without physically moving the dish?

thanks

You can put a second LNB on a bracket for 2 LNBs in front of a 20" elliptical dish. You can also mount a Twin LNB, which would scan 119W and 110W from a single LNB, but with FTAs sometimes you have headaches trying to set them up.
The word dual LNB implies a single LNB with two outputs of same sat for two receivers.
You can mount two duals on a single bracket in front of a 20" Elliptical - Each dual will feed two receivers so you can get 119W and 110W on two receivers through two switches.

Probably minor adjustment. A bracket and a dual 119 LNB would be a better choice with a 4 to 1 DiseqC switch.

Manu Sharma : If you were thinking of getting 118.7 Anik with all the Indian channels, it is a special 119/118.7 LNB (about $20)and a 30" dish is required.

Hello helpers,
Is there any kind of LNB (uninversal LNB) which can gets multiple types of signal from difference satellites?
***For example: use 1 dish, 1 LNB, + motor to get DN channels and a FTA channels like from EchoStar, AMC and IntelSat (the point here is only use one LNB and motor)

I appreciate your help and infomation.
