i am trying to flash my sonicview with the newest bin SV4000_V0173P. from totalfta...and i used the downloader for sonicviewS from dsscentral...after download complete it says FLASH FAIL what did i do wrong here is the instructions i used
Step 1:
1. Ensure your using a null modem cable and it is hooked up at both ends and your serial port, 2. Your unit is plugged into an outlet and turned off at the rear of the unit
Step 2:
1. Download fresh copy of a. Downloader b. Factory bin (just in case) c. Current bin (See our files section for most current bin)
2. Place all files in the same folder as loader is located and unzip/decompress them all.
Step 3:
1. Switch Off your SonicView receiver using the switch at the back 2. In your PC Start downloader program 3. Click STB -> Connect Config for Com 1 (or whichever port you're using) 4. Click STB -> Download file (PC->STB) 5. Select the most current bin to upload to your receiver. 6. Window appears entitled Data Transfer -> 7. Turn SV1000 on from the rear power button and do not touch it until transfer is complete and SV1000 reboots. 8. Disconnect null modem cable
