Hi guys,

I successfully converted my patec V1 to 2700 and everything is working fine. But when i go to dish setup, these are the only available sats -110, 119, 91 and unused. Is this normal or am I missing something? By the way, thanks all of you (especially AV and LK) for your support.

Menu/Dish setup/antenna setup
Ignore your understanding of the names.

Select Echo 119.
In the submenu, select DisEqc Port 1. Look at level.
If level is above 60%, look at quality. Go down to TP and go through several to see if you are seeing changes from low to high quality or if the quality remains good. Accept NO. 1 and save it
If not try same with no. 2 and so on and save it.

Now select Echo 110W. Go though the above procedure, except that you start with the next port number. So if you have save port 1 for Echo 119, start with port 2 for Echo 110W. Save if signal/quality is found.

Now select Nimiq 91W. Start with port number, one after the ones already selected. Go through the process.

If you think you have more than three sats, go through the process using "unused".
You may have to change the LNB type and/or frequency.

Exit out and do a Blind scan on each.

Then go and edit sat names if you have to, e.g. the last one I converted, I had to change the name Nimiq 91W to Echo 61.5, because that is what I was really scanning.

You can add new sats.

If you don't see any power or light on your box, then you have to JTAG. Also, try upgrading your box to a new unit.

How to JTAG? Well, to JTAG your unit, you need a JTAG cable which cost around $10 - $15. Then, download the Black Death Repair Kit for Fortec STAR Lifetime Ultra receivers.
