maybe if it is a clone. I dont think it has harmed many, maybe 3 or 4. All i know are working fine with it. look at ftaprosupport for the clone bin under pansat files. it will say clone bin
Downloaded the new bin file for VSxtreme last nite and it still works fine. If you have clone or you turned the box off prematurely and before it shows (end .. on .. channel number)then your receiver is DEAD
