I can't load the new bin, everytime I try, no matter, unit on first, wait 2 seconds, turn on,unit off start pgm unit on..... several different ways listed in site, but not one works. Keep getting resending but never loads. None of our experts have a clue how to get this thing to load?
What is really strange, this is the same null modem cable that came with the VS, used it before and loaded no problem. Now it won't work. Is it possible that something in the STB needs to be changed? Still using bin from 12-20-06. Looked to see if maybe there was an upgrade on off option. Can't find anything.
Tried several different, most common, VS off, start loader 2, open file, PC>stb, VS on in back. also tried VS on at outlet, also tried with VS on start program> switch off> 2 seconds> switch on. (found last on DSSTESTER)
FIRST DOWNLOAD BIN THEN SAVE IT ON FOLDER THEN RIGHT CLICK AND SELECT EXTRACT FILES THEN SAVE ON FOLDER OPEN LOADER 2 CLICK OPEN FIND FOLDER WITH SAVED BIN SELECT EXTRACTED FILE TURN OFF VIEWSAT BOX(WITH BEHIND SWITH) CLICK : (PC TO STB) WAIT TWO SECONDS TURN ON BOX (WITH BEHIND SWITH) AND IT SHOULD BE IT!!!!!
Com 1 checked device manager to make sure, tried different baud rates..... Right now, I'm guessing, if nothing in the box is changeable, the cable may be bad. Something may have happened to it since December.....
Get a quality one. The ones that come with the receiver are as cheap as they get,with scrawny thin cable .Shorter is better too ,and preferably with magnet interfearance suppression. about 9 dollars.
