I figured out that I can probably only catch signals 100°W and up *I face NNW*. I know its not that simple setting up a satellite and everything, but i just want to know is there a point at all if the channels are crappy ?

Vito, whats the scoop here? You registered over a year ago,say you have a pansat, accumulated 37 posts and don't now were to get a satcalculater or check Lynsat which is a "sticky' here in most reputable sites thread.

You've got some reading to do.

Get a compass, Vito.
Here's a sat calculator: http://satcalculator.freehostia.com/
Choose "single satellite" then choose, say 119, choose your city, then "calculate". Look what it says for "magnetic azimuth". Stand on your balcony and point the compass to north. Can you see the bearing for the magnetic azimuth with a clear path to the horizon (or 20 or so degrees above)? (N=0, E=90, S=180, W=270) If you can, you're good to go. If not choose another sat and try again.
