I have a brand new VS LITE, it is very warm to the touch.I wonder does anybody out there have a VS LITE? Is this normal?
I have a VS Plat and have had it for some time, it does not get warm hardly at all.
BTW there is nothing wrong with my switches/lnb`s or any part of my hookup. I have ruled everything out. In fact My 2 receivers are totally independent from each other, they both have there own complete seperate dishes and switch. I can swapp them and everything stays the same.
It may well be that simply due to its size that it gets warmer??

Most of the "heat" is from the one power transformer. Since they're mass produced, no two are the same. It's either gonna run hot,or burn out, due to the insulation failure in the whinedings.
My platinum USED to run very hot too, but doesnt anymore for some reason. It even sits on top of a digital cable box now with no problem. I did use a small 6" fan to keep it cool back then..

Maybe it just needed a break in period? It was very toasty and now it is only warm..Go figure
After it's first oil and filter change,use sythetic oil,that helps "breaker in".
I know for a fact Dirty Democrat is LK RHM, by some mistakes he made in his previous postings...but now he appears to be stating that he's also John M also...I still think its an admin or nalin..

I have 2 much time on my hands I guess? From my reading, LK and LKR and Dirty Democrat are all the same person, me thinks? John M clearly seems to be another poster?
