On monday my regular box died so I brought it in and since I have a hdtv I decided to trade up for a DVR box.
I have the SA 8300HD v2.2 and I try following what the manual says, leave TV on, keep box powered off but plugged into working socket. I do the guide + info and all I get is a message that says Press "cbl" to turn on your cable box.
So then I went on to SAs site and found their .pdf manual and it says press cbl on the remote to put the remote into cbl mode and I figured that would help, but no go.
For reference I live in orange county new york and Time Warner Cable is my provider.
