Danny...

First of all, go to Radio Shack and get a DB9 female to DB9 female RS232 cable, this one is also known as 1 to 1 cable, after that get the blacklist uploader and the 279 bin....connect the cable to the serial port on your PC and to the receiver, turno on the receiver and open the uploader, browse for the 279 bin and do a write it to the receiver.....

Most of the new PC's still have one serial port, most of the new Laptops don't....

for home use laptops don't come with serial port. Work or corporate laptops do have one serial port, new or old. All desktops should have serial ports. Need new bin and uploader, go to www.chochcrib.net/forums/ no sign up required, all files are working, I have tested myself.

Go and take a look at the second post of this thread, it explains all if you are using the 1.4 loader, take a look on there, it will tell you what you need.
