I know very little about FTA stuff. I got a PANSAT receiver from a local shop and all I had to do was to connect to TV and it worked like a champ. A couple of days ago I lost all the channels. The guy who sold me the receiver has sent me the latest bin files for PANSAT 2700A along with loader software.

I am using straight thru rs232 9-pin cable to download the file as per the instructions provided. The download fails. I don't see any activity on the progress bar. I used COM1 port to connect the cable.

Can someone help me fix the problem.

You have to use a special 9 pin cable. Which call Null Modem cable and the guy who selling you the Pansat should include that for your convenience.

I have a Pansat 2700 too and the bin file expire recently. Can you send me the copy of the bin file too. Thanks!

Did you follow these procedures.
-Connect the 9 pin cable between the receiver and PC.
-Turn the receiver power ON.
-Open the GTRom Loader V3.35 (Pansat 2700A).
-Click BIN FILE and select the Bin File to be downloaded.
-Select FILE TYPE (api) and click Download.
-Do not interrupt the receiver power while downloading.
-Press OK after Download Complete!! appear on the PC screen.
