Who has a hack to wire old speakers ( were talking like pioneer speakers from (1970) to a portable device like a Phillips or a Nano or Ipod , CD player.

I have dissected the speakers and taken the tweeters out and want to use them as portable speakers because their small. I tried to wire them with old head phone and jack but it didn't work.

I tested the speakers with a pair of mini Sonys I have and they worked fine when connected to each of the Sony I know they work the trick is how to wire them to a jack to plug them into the device. I know their is allot of decent cheep portable speakers out their but I'm on a quest to do it from junk LOL ! their are two of them for stereo sound.

Thanks - Wonk
