so, I'm completely new to the world of turntables.

I just got a Technics SL-bd27 from a friend of mine.

I bought a behringer UFO202 audio interface.

Basically, there is a very, very low sound coming from the speakers.

Like I said, I am completely new to turntables. I do not know all of the components of the turntable or anything, really. Can anyone help me?

Are you sure the switch on the UFO202 is set to "phono" and not "line"?

.

Probably a ground noise. You'll need to attach a wire between the turntable and the phono pre amp - which I assume is the Behringer. Read a few of the archived threads in this section for more explanations of ground hum and how to solve them.

Thanks!

I did all of the above. I finally just exchanged my pre-amp.
It turns out that the preamp that I originally got was a dud.

All is well now
