Silver Member Username: KbearCanada Post Number: 829 Registered: Dec-06 | My CA 650BD is based off the Oppo BDP-80. CA made some upgrades on the audio side of things. I still don't think it comes close to my Apollo for Redbook sound quality. To my mind, a universal player is not likely to beat a similarly priced and well executed CD-only player. And while the 650BD isn't the 83SE (the giant killer), I was expecting it to be more competitive with the Rega. That said, for everything but Redbook I am very happy with it. |
