I have just purchased the following: Kenwood Vr5700 receiver, Wharfedale Diamond 8.3 fronts, Diamond 8 center, Diamond 8.1 surrounds. I have the Energy sub already, but I am wondering if I should buy a sub to match the speakers I have just purchased. I know that matching regular speakers is important but I am unsure on the sub.

Just a quick question. I am wondering if picking up another Energy ES8 sub would be the best idea. I like the sub with my system but my question is this, would adding another sub sound louder without increasing the volume. I guess what I mean is will it appear that there is more bass since there would be two subs but not increase the overall volume. I am concerned about too much base as I live in an apartment.

How would you hook up the other sub since I am using my pre-out for the one I have currently. I do have another sub pre-out located in my "dvd" box on the back of my receiver. I assume this pre-out is only activated when the dvd player is being used. Which if this is correct would be perfect since I listen to dvds and cds solely thru it.
