Which connection?

What are the advantages and disadvantages of hooking up a sub by having the receiver feed into the High Level inputs and having the front speakers hooked up to the sub (High Level outputs)? Wouldn't this connection seem more integrated rather than using the LFE output and hooking up the Front speakers directly to the receiver?

Read your owner's manual

The manual just says how to make the connection. It says nothing about pros/cons.

The LFE connection alllows you to fully utilize the bass management in your reciever. It is the preferred connection for a A/V reciever where you can set and adjust levels on the fly. The speaker level connection creates a fixed hi/lo pass filter that may not have its hinge point where your system will sound best. In other words you lack flexibilty with the high level input that you can gain by using the LFE connection. The speaker level connection is best suited to use with a system that does not have any external bass management capabilities. Typically a straight stereo system. Make sense?
