Could someone who owns a VR-6070 check the transformer of the unit and see if it can be set for 220V? 'Cause I saw on Kenwoods homepage that the US units are 110V only and the UK units are 220V only but models for other countries are 110/220V by a switch on the back of the chassis. So I was wondering if they use the same transformer for all models, but simply doesn't put the switch on the chassis. Thanks! Tom

I just bought one to be used in china. VR-6070 does not have the switch. I had picked up a step-down transformer 220->110 from radioshack but that arrangement gives a nice hum from the speakers. So finally contacted the kenwood service centre here and they have agreed to replace the power supply for about 50 USD.
