HTR5890 - strange ?

hi All,

I recently bought HTR5890 and Boston Accoustics VR series of speakers, VR1s for L and R and VRC for center and VRX for surround. When I use HTR5890 to auto calibrate the system, it says that VRC (center) speaker has wires connected in reverse polarity, but when I check, they properly connected +ve to +ve and -ve to -ve. What do you think is happening ? Anyone else have this problem before. The manual says as W-1 warning and clearly states that some speakers even though properly connected give that message and system will try to work around that but the performance might not be optimal ? This is weird!

If you doublechecked the polarity and it's correct, ignore the false warning.

Thanks Paul,

Interestingly enough when I change the polarity (make it wrong) deliberately, the warning goes away.

True, but do what you 'know' is right. Those false errors are fairly common.
