I just purchased a yamaha HTR-5760 to replace an old technics receiver I had. The sound quality doesn't seem to match my old technics receiver, there is hardly any bass at all through my 2 front speakers. I did adjust the options for the bass to go out to both my sub and speakers and adjusted the tone to max bass and yet there seems to still be no bass. My old system also had an equalizer connected to it which seemed to improve it a lot and I can't seem to figure out how to connect the equalizer to this new system. Any suggestions?
