I have a Samsung DVD-HD841 and I have hooked it up to my 7.1 SoundBlaster Audigy 2 NX sound card using an optical cable. (the sound card has optical IN) However, sound only comes out of the 2 front speakers and not the rear. (I have 4.1's). I've messed around with the sound card settings and DVD menu settings. When I put it on "Bitstream" no sound comes out at all. It only works on "PCM" mode but only comes out the 2 front when it should be surround (all four). My 4.1's work correctly when I play music from my PC, so I know it's nothing wrong with the speakers. Please tell me, how I get surround sound from my DVD player to my sound card digitally? Thank you.
