How Many Speakers can be connected??

Unregistered guest
I have a sherwood ax-7030-100w 4 channel amp.

it says on the rear that when connecting speakers from all channels, that the impedance is 8 ohms.
Does this mean that i could do the following:

1.connect 4 8 ohm speakers

2.connect a pair of 8 ohm speakers to channel A, and parallel connect 2 pairs of 4 ohm speakers to channel B

3. Parallel connect 2 pairs of 4 ohm speakers to channels A and B. Totalling 8 speakers

If this IS possible, will the amp still work at full power?

and what power rating should the speakers be?

Thanks for any advice. It's much appreciated

A pair of speakers in parallel will be equivalent to 2 ohms - not wise!
Connect them in series to keep to the 8 ohms. May not be as loud as you hope that way though.

there are special boards which allow you to connect 24 speakers.
