I was ready to pick up a rotel 1056 or Arcam 250 for good stereo and good surround, but I'm wondering if I couldn't do better by buying a cheaper surround receiver and a quality 2ch integrated amp. Or even better could I buy a decent multichannel amp, a good 2ch stereo and a mediocre surround processor for under $1,800? Anyone have any suggestions or ideas?
