From what I have read it should be identical except for the Elite name. There are some very good prices on the 53 if you don't need a phono input I think that's what I would buy. |

I was looking at either (older) Elite VSX-24TX, Marantz SR-4400 or harman/kardon AVR 230 or 325 and I own Klipsch LaScala speakers. I am narrowing down to the h/k for more features and 192kHz DACs, but I'm not at all in your budget. |
