I want to use one receiver and one integrated stereo amp to alternatively drive one set of speakers. For home theater I'm gonna use the receiver to drive the speakers as fronts. For music, I'm gonna use the stereo amp to drive the same speakers.

I heard that I will need an amp selector/switcher otherwise my amps may be blown up. However, I cannot find one in where I live one.

Need your advice. Thanks.

Receiver: Marantz SR6300
Stereo amp: Marantz pm7200
Main speakers: Mission m53

You want a Niles DPS-1.

Good deal seeing they go for $80.00-$90.00US.
Of course, you always want to make sure only one amp is powered up at a time.

I live in Vietnam and cannot find this selector you recommended. Is there a tweak around it?

Thanks.

You could probably rig something using double throw switches.

The Niles on ebay ships world wide.

Very useful links. Thanks. Any tips on how to reduce signal loss via the switch?
