I run DVD,CD,xbox,all through my receiver using 5.1 surround sound.My TV is old so I have to use a RF modulator.How can I get sound from TV using my 5.1.
No. 5.1 dolby digital comes from your sources and TV gets source from a signal like the cable company, satellite provider, etc. The TV in itself will not give you surround sound. However, if you get a TV that has audio outputs, you can hook it up to your receiver and in turn, you receiver will put it in surround mode if you have the proper set-up.
