I am a novice A/V Home Theater person in need of what I hope is basic assistance. The issue in general is that my DVD player 'appears' to be sending the audio signal from my Sony receiver (to its component Cambridge Soundworks speakers) faster than the video is being sent to my TV! This results in a very slight, but annoying gap between audio output (faster) than video (slower). I believe the video signal is being sent back to the TV via red/white/yellow combo wire, but I could be mistaken. Would sending video back to TV via coak resolve this issue? The TV (a Sony 32") is approximately 7 years old and can receive COAX, S-Video, or Yellow-Video. But it is somewhat old when compare to today's tvs. Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks.

Hook up directly to the S-video inputs of the TV, bypasing the receiver completely for video.
