Ok - I am definitely a newbie to this whole A/V thing, and I need some help picking out a good receiver. Here are my requirements:
- <$500 - I have already purchased the Onkyo SKSHT500 Speakers - I am not an audiophile but I like good clean sound (who doesn't).
I would really appreciate your comments. I have been considering the Onkyo SR501 and the Pioneer D912K.

I would go with the Onkyo. However, take a look at a Denon AV-1803. This is what I'm going with next month because it has everything that I AM looking for.

I ended up going with the Onkyo HT-S760. I think I saved over $100 by paying for the complete system (vs. the individual Onkyo components), and I upgraded to 6.1.
I haven't seen any reviews of the HT-760 in here yet, so as soon as it is all configured, I'll post again with a review.
