I have a large room (900+ ft2)and two pairs of 8 ohm speakers. I desire loud thumping rock and roll. I must be old fashioned because everything these days is surround sound, or can handle only one pair of speakers. That isn't working for me. The Pyramid 530A Receiver looks like it can drive both sets of speakers at the same (I've recently had a refresher course on Ohms Law after cooking a couple of receivers that had A/B speaker switches that were in actuality only parallel switches). So is this receiver what I'm looking for...a good old fashioned receiver that can drive more than one pair of speakers without a bunch of surround sound hooey?
