I was in a local pawnshop and i saw a 5 ch Carver amp for $299. Do you think it is worth the $299 price tag? Also here is an update on the Pioneer VSX-1014. I recently saw it at Best Buy and i must say it looks awesome!!! I will be getting the Pioneer for $333 through a friends discount at Best Buy. I can't wait to get it!!
Sarandon I would have to say both look like good deals to me. That amp is probably one that was made when Bob Carver actually owned and operated Carver. $333 for the 1014 is a very good deal. That would be hard to pass up.Are you thinking about using these together?

i really dont know yet. for now i would like to try the 1014 by itself and see how it would sound like. if i dont like it, i would get the amp and keep the pioneer. but since i only have small speakers it would probably be over kill with the carver amp. but i will keep you and everybody here posted.
