Can anybody find me a good price on Marantz SR8300?

Hi. I am thinking about selling my Denon PMA1500 stereo amplifier, and buying a Marantz SR8300 surround receiver + DV4300 dvd-player. Thing is, that I live in Denmark, where the Marantz is like 3000$, so I am thinking about buying it in the states, and having it shipped here.

a) Will the stereo-sound be improved, over my Denon?

b) Does Marantz offer worldwide warranty - it wouldn't be nice to ship it all the way back to the states, if it broke! =)

c) Where in the states is it the cheapest? If I search for "SR8300" on google, all it turns up with, are European sites... :-(

This will sound as good if not better for a lot less - if you don't mind used.

the last link doesn't work!
while I am sure those are nice receivers, their design aren't really as appealing as a marantz sr8300 in silver.. I am really a sucker for good design, and as I have already spent a lot of money on my living room furniture, I want the audio equipment to go with it =))

try http://www.audioencounters.com call the number on the website, ask for joe. They no longer carry the sr8300, but when the sr8400 comes out which might be about a month, if you tell him Jason referred me to you, and said you can put me in an sr8400 for around $1200. It will be brand new and they are an authorized dealer, so the warranty will be valid. However I am not sure how the warranty works for overseas.

You can also email at joeherchko@columbus.rr.com

Generally speaking warranties are not valid outside the nation they are purchased, mainly due to the legal differences between countries (however slight they may be). This is not to say that they do not exist, but assume that the warranty is only good in the country of purchase unless you get it in writing.
