I've been looking at the following online-only systems for 6.1 HT and would like some input please.
- Aperion Intimus 6.1 w/ 10" or 12" sub - Axiom Grand Master (2xM22, VP150, 3xQS8, ep350) - Ascend (2xCBM, CMT-340c, 3xHTM-200, VTF-2)
Receiver is Onkyo TX-NR801, room is 20x17x10, listening is 80/20 HT/music. Want best possible HT experience, crystal clear dialog and amazing surround effects.
Leaning towards Axiom because QS8 surrounds have best reviews and lots of finish choices (HWAF), BUT their subs don't get best reviews.
Hawk recommends Ascends a lot, but black only has very low WAF.
Aperion seems to get very good praise all around. Is the 10" or 12" sub better for my room size and do they compare with HSU?
Within this price range (1400-2000) is there anything better I should check out?

Ooops, forgot. I can get the Onkyo 801 for $800. Is there a better choice for that price? By better I mean HT sound and features.
