I just purchased a set of Durabrand 3 watt speakers from Wal-Mart for my computer. There was no programs or disk with the speakers and I cannot get them to work with my computer. I really need some help, did I purchase speakers that will not work with my laptop? Thanks in advance.

Generally you just pop them into the audio/headphone output of your laptop, and they work. Check that you haven't plugged them into the mic out or anything.

And no, they don't need drivers.

Also check under Start, Control Panel, Sounds and Multimedia that all your sound properties and speaker properties are turned up. Make sure first their not muted. Retail Laptop's sometimes come with the onboard audio turned way way down if not all the way down.
