If anyone wanted to run an HDMI signal longer than 100 ft, (normal HDMI can only fo 15 with out signal loss) it seemed the only option was to convert and run it over Cat5 with Receiver and Sender units.

Then, technology came out that allowed Active repeaters to boost the signal because apparently one of the pin assignments with in a cable carries a low voltage power. Long distance HDMI Cables were welcome in the AV market, like the Gefen Super Booster HDMI cables.

With the new HDMI 1.3 out, can a standard HDMI signal be sent from HDMI 1.3 equipment longer than 15 ft. with out signal loss?
